Dear friends,
However you are spending today and tomorrow, my prayer is that you will find a moment to savor the mystery and joy that is the birth of Jesus. Throughout this season, It's been neat to watch how our communal weaving has taken form; a mosaic of each of our unique gifts and lives, woven together just as God weaves us into community, too. God is weaving our community to be a place of respite and refuge for those seeking shelter, to be a place for people to learn a new skill or to discover a passion for a new instrument or art medium, to be connected through the power of prayer and worship, to be a place that equips and nurtures people of God to work for justice for all of God’s children. So, in the glow of the star which brought us safely thus far, let us pause, just for a moment, and give our deepest thanks to God who has formed us to this point and who is no doubt continuing to weave in the right people, talents, ideas and resources at the right time so as to enable us to continue unfolding the vision God has for this community. Amen!
Merry Christmas to you and yours, and blessings abound as we peer into what God has in store for 2022!
With love,
Pastor Doug
