Among our local and global community:
We hold before you a world aching for peace. We remember all who are caught in violence, displacement, and the long struggle for dignity and safety.
We pray for the world, and for all who live in harm's way, including, but not limited to Iran, Gaza, Ukraine, Somalia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Taiwan, Afghanistan and Venezuela. We pray for moral righteousness to imbue the souls and minds of our leaders, as well all of us who have agency to make meaning of the world around us; for the power of love to overcome our very human love of power.
For the village on 6th and Orchard and for those who find themselves without shelter.
We lift up this morning our siblings in Minneapolis and those around the country as we stand in solidarity of our neighbors.
We pray for those who are living in fear and vulnerability, all immigrant communities among us experiencing threat and harm, we pray for those who have been injured or arrested and their families, and for those who grieve the death of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. We lift up clergy and other faith leaders and community organizers offering accompaniment to those in harm's way, and last but not least, we pray for courage, restraint, and justice from those in authority.
And last but not least, we lift up our Global Ministries Partners, this week in Argentina.
