This week's community joys & concerns from Sept. 27, 2026

Among our concerns, we pray for those on a healing journey. We lift up:
Pat McDaniel
Ginny Quiring
Denise Davidson, Roger’s daughter-in-law recovering from surgery
Chris Beeles-Miller, recovering from shoulder surgery
Lenny Anderson
Ginny Quiring
Sue Simpson
Mark Fry
Bill Poores
We lift up our homebound friends and those for whom making it to Church is increasingly a difficult thing to do to a variety of challenges.
Among them we pray for:
Dorothy Beeles
Norma Carolyn
Phyllis Jacobsen
Harry Lobberegt
Pat Lien
Charlene Housman
Lela Cox
Marc Master
Irene McBride
And with sadness, I share that early Tuesday morning, our dear sister Anita Thompson passed away peacefully. Anita had been in rehabilitation after struggling from a fall and she is now resting in the comfort of our God, beyond the realm of suffering and pain. We give God thanks for her long life of service and witness, and we hold all who grieve for her in the days and weeks to come. We lift up Anita's sister, Jayne Lytle, and all of her family members and friends. Information about her memorial service which Anita's family plans to have in early 2027 will be made public when it is available.
Among our local and global community:
We lift to God the village on 6th and Orchard and we continue to pray for those seeking shelter and community of many kinds.
Last but not least, please join me in lifting our Global Ministries partners, this week, in Japan.
If you'd like to share a prayer joy or concern, please contact Pastor Doug at doug@fcctacoma.org or by calling the church office. Please indicate whether your prayer is to be shared publicly or if you'd like it to be kept private.
