This week's community joys and concerns from August 6, 2023

Among our concerns, we pray for:

  • Those suffering Covid, as news spread of an uptick in transmissions and the severity of symptoms, especially for those who are immunocompromised other otherwise particularly vulnerable to illness

  • We add to our prayers this week, Don Tripp, who is home this morning recovering from a back injury

  • Mel Peabody's Aunt Sally

  • Mel Peabody's partner, Bear

  • Dawn Fredricks' daughter, Holly

  • Margo Christiansen

  • Rachel Morford

  • Lela's mom Anastasia who fell and broke her wrist.

  • And for our homebound friends, Helen Bosley, Harry and Margaret Lobberegt, Jane Nelson, and Marylu and Joseph Mills.

Among our local and global community concerns:

  • We continue to pray for all in harm's ways in the midst of war and the threat of war, in Niger, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, North Korea, Ukraine, and many more.

  • We also add to our prayers all of God's life who stand in harm's way due to the spread of wildfires, throughout the Pacific Northwest and California, in Canada, and indeed, around the world, as all of us are faced with the threats to life and wellbeing due to the effects of climate change.

  • We continue to pray for the village on 6th and Orchard, that all who are serve or who served there, and indeed all of us who have a stake in the lives of our our share human race, would experience the love of God and the abundant blessing of Community through the means that God has already made amply available to us all.

  • For our Global Ministries partners, this week in Bangladesh.
